Player Agreement — Betsmith

A common misconception is that the terms and conditions of an online casino exist primarily to protect the operator at the player’s expense. In practice, a well-structured player agreement defines the rights and obligations of both parties, establishing a transparent framework for all activity on the platform. Players who read and understand these terms are better positioned to make informed decisions about deposits, bonus claims, and withdrawal requests. Betsmith publishes this agreement in full so that every registered player has clear access to the rules governing their account.

1. Eligibility

Access to Betsmith is restricted to individuals who meet the minimum legal age requirement in their jurisdiction, which in no case may be lower than eighteen (18) years of age. Players are solely responsible for verifying that online gambling is lawful in their country or territory of residence before registering an account.

The following persons are not eligible to register or maintain an account:

• Individuals who have not reached the applicable legal gambling age in their jurisdiction
• Residents of any territory where online gambling is prohibited by law
• Employees, contractors, or agents of Betsmith or its affiliated entities, and their immediate family members
• Persons who have been excluded from gambling services, whether voluntarily or otherwise

Betsmith reserves the right to request documentary evidence of eligibility at any time. Accounts found to be held by ineligible persons will be suspended and any funds held therein dealt with in accordance with applicable law.

2. Account Registration

Each individual may hold only one (1) registered account with Betsmith. Opening duplicate accounts, or accounts on behalf of another person, is strictly prohibited and may result in the permanent closure of all associated accounts.

During registration, players are required to provide accurate, complete, and current personal information. Any subsequent change to this information — including name, address, or contact details — must be reported to Betsmith promptly.

Players are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. Betsmith will not be liable for any losses arising from unauthorised access to an account that results from a player’s failure to secure their credentials. Any suspected unauthorised access must be reported to Betsmith without delay.

3. Identity Verification

Betsmith operates a Know Your Customer (KYC) process in compliance with its licensing obligations. All players will be required to complete identity verification before withdrawals are processed, and may be asked to do so at any earlier stage at Betsmith’s discretion.

Acceptable documents for identity verification include, but are not limited to:

1. A current government-issued photographic identity document (passport, national identity card, or driving licence)
2. Proof of residential address issued within the preceding three (3) months (utility bill, bank statement, or official government correspondence)
3. Proof of ownership of the payment method used to deposit funds

Failure to provide satisfactory documentation within a reasonable period may result in the suspension of withdrawal rights or the restriction of account functionality. Betsmith may additionally request source-of-funds documentation where required by its compliance obligations.

4. Deposits

Funds deposited into a Betsmith account must originate from a payment method registered in the player’s own name. Deposits made from third-party accounts, including those belonging to family members, will not be accepted and will be returned subject to applicable processing fees.

Minimum and maximum deposit limits are displayed within the cashier section of the platform and are subject to change. Betsmith does not accept cash deposits or deposits made by physical cheque. All transactions are processed in the currency designated on the account.

Betsmith is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or banking institutions. If a deposit does not appear credited within a reasonable period, the player should contact the payment provider before approaching Betsmith’s support team.

5. Withdrawals

Withdrawal requests are subject to satisfactory completion of identity verification as described in Section 3. Betsmith processes requests to the same payment method used for the corresponding deposit wherever technically possible.

Processing times vary by payment method and are displayed in the cashier section. Betsmith aims to process approved withdrawal requests within the timeframes published on the platform, though external delays caused by banks or payment processors are beyond its control.

Betsmith reserves the right to conduct additional security and fraud checks before approving any withdrawal. Requests may be temporarily held pending the outcome of such checks without constituting a breach of this agreement.

6. Bonuses and Promotions

Bonus offers and promotions are subject to individual terms that are published alongside each offer. Where a conflict exists between the terms of a specific promotion and this agreement, the promotional terms shall prevail in respect of that offer only.

Players may only claim each promotional offer once unless the terms of that offer expressly state otherwise. The creation of multiple accounts for the purpose of claiming bonuses on more than one occasion constitutes bonus abuse and is grounds for account closure and forfeiture of associated funds.

Betsmith reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw any promotion at any time. Players who have accepted a bonus prior to its withdrawal retain the right to complete the applicable wagering requirements under the terms in force at the time of acceptance.

7. Wagering Requirements

Wagering requirements specify the total value of bets that must be placed before bonus funds, or winnings derived from bonus funds, may be withdrawn as cash. The applicable requirement for each offer is stated in the promotional terms and expressed as a multiplier of the bonus amount, the deposit amount, or both.

Not all games contribute equally to the satisfaction of wagering requirements. The contribution percentage of each game category is listed in the applicable promotional terms. Wagers placed on games with a zero-percent contribution will not advance progress toward fulfilling a requirement.

If a player’s real-money balance reaches zero before a wagering requirement is satisfied, the bonus and any associated winnings will be forfeited. Players are advised to review contribution rates before selecting games while an active requirement is in progress. These terms and conditions on wagering apply uniformly to all eligible accounts.

8. Games and Fair Play

All games offered on the Betsmith platform utilise certified Random Number Generator (RNG) technology. Game outcomes are independent of prior results and cannot be predicted or manipulated by any party, including Betsmith.

Players are prohibited from using automated software, bots, scripts, or any other tool that provides an unfair advantage over other players or distorts the normal operation of games. Any such use constitutes a material breach of this agreement.

In the event of a technical malfunction during game play, the affected round will be declared void and any wager placed will be refunded to the player’s account. Betsmith’s decision on matters arising from a technical fault is final, subject to the player’s statutory rights.

9. Responsible Gambling

Betsmith provides a range of responsible gambling tools to assist players in managing their activity. These include deposit limits, loss limits, wager limits, session time reminders, and self-exclusion facilities. Players are encouraged to make use of these tools to ensure that gambling remains within personal budgetary and time limits.

Self-exclusion requests are processed promptly and will remain in effect for the minimum period selected by the player. During an active self-exclusion, the player’s account will be closed to all gambling activity and marketing communications will be suspended. Early termination of a self-exclusion period is subject to a mandatory cooling-off period as required by Betsmith’s licensing conditions.

Players who believe they may have a gambling problem are advised to seek assistance from an independent support organisation. Betsmith does not provide counselling services and makes no representation as to the suitability of any third-party service for a player’s particular circumstances.

10. Dormant Accounts

An account is classified as dormant when no successful login has been recorded for a continuous period of twelve (12) months. Prior to applying dormancy status, Betsmith will attempt to notify the account holder using the contact details on file.

A monthly administration fee, as specified in the current fee schedule published on the platform, will be deducted from the balance of a dormant account. This fee will continue to be applied until the balance reaches zero or the account is reactivated by the player.

Players may reactivate a dormant account by logging in and completing any outstanding verification requirements. Once reactivated, the account will be subject to the standard terms and conditions in force at the time of reactivation. Any remaining balance will be accessible after reactivation, subject to the deductions already applied.
